Thank you so much for hosting me on your blog, and it’s truly an honor to be here. I’m excited to talk about my new book, just released on July 1st at Extasy Books. Business Strip is book three of the Men’s Room series. Although the books can be read as a series, each story features unique characters and stand-alone plots.

The Men’s Room is a (fictional) bar in New Orleans’ French Quarter. The idea for the series came to me after visiting New Orleans for the GRL Conference in 2011. I loved the city so much that after the conference, I made another trip to New Orleans a month later. I decided to write a series of stories that centered around one bar, and each story within the series features someone associated with the bar.

Book One, Twinsational, features twins Darren and Michael who work as go-go dancers at the club. Book two, Cocktails, is about Rustin, a college-aged bartender who falls in love with a Texas cowboy. Book three, Business Strip, is about one of the customers, Richard, who works at a nearby hotel as the desk clerk
Richard is 22 years old, and he still lives at home with his mom and sister. He doesn’t make it public knowledge, but his sister is sick and has to undergo kidney dialysis three times per week. She’s been approved for transplant surgery, and Richard has volunteered to be her donor.

Chad Curtiss is a 35 year old business traveler from New York City. When he flies into New Orleans on business, he encounters Richard while checking into the hotel. Chad’s used to getting what he wants and being pampered because his social position and wealth. He doesn’t like the fact that Richard doesn’t seem impressed. But for some reason, Chad can’t stop thinking about Richard, how feisty he is and how hot he looks in his work uniform. Chad sets out to make Richard another of his many conquests.

Though the two are extremely different from each other, their attraction grows, and they learn things about the other that surprise both of them. But when tragedy strikes Richard’s family, Chad suddenly faces some important decisions. Will he do the right thing or will he let his only chance of true love slip from his fingers?

I have to say that of all the characters I’ve written, Richard happens to be one of my absolute favorite. He’s cute, he’s funny, and he has a heart of gold. I hope you fall in love with him the same as I have.

Although Business Strip released this week, all three of The Men’s Room stories will be coming soon in a combined edition that will be available in both e-book and paperback. Please leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of Business Strip, and I’ll be doing more giveaways when the print edition is released.

Blurb:

Whoever said business and pleasure don’t mix has never been to New Orleans.

Chad Curtiss, a thirty-five year old private equity investor, is a ruthless businessman. He believes it’s a dog-eat-dog world and doesn’t understand people not driven by the desire to acquire their own happiness. Life’s about personal responsibility and making the right choices.

Chad travels to New Orleans on occasion for business and while there, he likes to visit The Men’s Room. The hottest gay club in the city has the hunkiest dancers, the cutest bartenders and the kind of service a man like Chad knows he deserves. While at the bar, he runs into young Richard Foster, a desk clerk from the hotel where he’s staying. He has no intention of becoming involved, but there’s something about the kid Chad can’t dismiss, and that something just might change his entire outlook on life.
